Garry Geiken was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to parents Donald and Gladys Geiken. His father was a U.S. Postal worker, and his mother worked as an A/V librarian at a local high school.
The stage bug bit early, starting with a turn as Huck Finn in a musical “Tom Sawyer”. After graduating from Iowa State University, he was accepted to the Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of Delaware. His love of live theater led to many noteworthy roles on stages in and around the Twin Cities. He has the distinction of portraying Orson Welles in two different plays, receiving an IVEY award for his portrayal in “Orson’s Shadow”.
He and his wife Heidi Berg, also a professional actor and voice talent, currently reside in Los Angeles.
